What is EPF?
The Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) is a retirement benefit scheme for salaried employees. Both the employer and employee contribute 12% of the employee's basic salary and dearness allowance to the EPF account.
How is EPF Calculated?
The EPF corpus grows through monthly contributions and compound interest. The interest rate is declared annually by the EPFO (currently around 8.15%).
